Meet Ali, founder of True North Marketing, Mom, and Mountain Worshiper. She’s got killer tomboy style that just wasn’t realized until we started working together. Here are her Before pics…
Bumping up against a dress code or the expectation to wear industry specific attire at work can feel like a constraint and lead to lack of enthusiasm about one’s wardrobe. A concern I hear often; “How can I set myself apart?” In a sea of generalized outdoor gear and sport-inspired functional fashions, Ali wanted to stay relevant in the work place and keep her style a step ahead. While leading meetings and delivering interactive presentations to an international audience, being comfortable, appropriate and professional with a signature style would invite even more notability.
In addition to running her company, Ali paves her own way as a mom. Often mothers ask me, “What can I wear to pick up the kiddos without looking like I’m trying too hard?” There seems to be a fine line and high demand for that perfect afternoon outfit that’s easy, yet fierce. Ali wanted to dial those in as well, and I knew that finding ways to pair more refined accessories or edgy accoutrements with classic basics would be the ticket.
Ali and I recently had a Style Session and in addition to providing inspirations and recommendations for key wardrobe purchases through Ali’s own Pinterest Board, I left her with a few pieces of homework (ie: where to have minor alterations made), and a personalized Outfit Key from our session. Here are a few of the looks in progress! You can see the difference our work has made!
Ali, you are an inspiration, such a joy to collaborate with and one foxy woman! I’m so happy to hear you feel confident and creative and are enjoying your interchangeable and simplified wardrobe!
Love,
Scarlet
