What We Wear: Morning Coffee Meeting

Getting up and getting dressed is one of the first activities of the day, so why not have fun with it! I’m tall, as you know, and Stevie is petite. We thought talking about what we wear and why could be interesting and possibly applicable for those of you with similar body types and/or life events. We’ve been collecting themes over the last year, so look forward to more to come in the What We Wear category. We’ll feature brands available locally, online-only favorites, and some of our own vintage and second-hand finds.

A structured blazer is great for those of us with smaller shoulders looking to balance out a fuller bottom-half. With strong lines and two textures, this jacket over a lighter colored, printed V-neck, packs the perfect punch for a slighter frame up top. All black from head to toe elongates the body, and a touch of color like this red bag make it pop. I’m swooning hard over these booties lately- classic, functional and the perfect amount of detailing!

The drop shoulder on this sweater works great for someone looking to soften broad shoulders, and you can never go wrong with your best dark denim! This particular pair has a bit of whiskering near the pockets along with a high waist to help create more curve on a smaller bottomed lady. I suggest classic, minimal accessories for morning meetings to cut down on fuss and leave you free to tow pen and paper.
