Natasha is an artist, teacher, friend, lover, and world traveler. When I think of her day to day, I imagine her adventurous, action-packed life like a Bond movie where she plays 007. As a talented Designer and Creative Director, she has a strong sense of style all her own. For a recent photoshoot she was planning, she asked for my assistance in mapping out the outfits. She needed looks that were above and beyond, while still representing her true personal style. I created an Online Shopping Guide for Natasha, and hosted her virtually via a Satellite Styling Session, where we brought it all together. She’s in Vancouver BC, and I’m in Portland, so working through the wires was a convenient, not to mention highly successful, option.
Here’s what she had to say about it…
“My first priority was to look good on camera: stylish and sharp, but not trendy. Comfortable, and ‘like me’. I really don’t like getting my picture taken, so having Scarlet’s wardrobe and makeup input helped HUGELY! We had an aggressive schedule and being able to have all options decided on beforehand made moving through the shot list easy for myself and my photographer. (I can see now how having a stylist on set would be so helpful as well!) Even with having pre-determined outfits on hand, there are so many variables that determine how clothes ‘work’ on set and in the images. A stylist can jump in to adjust any wardrobe details so you don’t have to think about it, and your photographer can focus on their job. The whole experience made me realize I should have invested in a styling session sooner! It’s a brilliant business decision that benefits your image, your time and your confidence.”
Congrats, Natasha! You look stunning!
