COVID-19 has affected us all in a variety of ways.
We are a small company working one to one with individuals on a daily basis. We ask that you be upfront with exposures and contractions of the virus and we will do the same.
Our families, clients, and collaborators appreciate you! Our health and livelihood would all be affected were we to contract COVID-19 so we continue to stay safe and engage in low risk activities.
It can feel disappointing to have to reschedule or cancel a service or experience with us due to an exposure to COVID-19. Therefore we will do our best to get you in as soon as possible.
It is industry standard and, in some situations, law to wear masks. As the mask mandates are lifting, we will communicate in advance about what feels safe.
SCHEDULING ADJUSTMENTS
One-to-one Styling Services
Your appointments are very important to the SCSC team and we look forward to seeing you. We understand that sometimes things come up and scheduling adjustments are necessary. We respectfully request 48 hours notice to allow us the opportunity to fill the spot with another client. We typically work with one client per day, so your consideration is greatly appreciated!
Clients receive appointment reminders 72 hours in advance. If you need to reschedule an appointment, please note: more than 48 hours notice is encouraged. 48-24 hours notice will incur a $100 re-booking fee. Notice on the day of your service will incur a $250 re-booking fee.
In the event of an emergency, we will connect after the scheduled service to consider your case.
If you must reschedule, we ask that you use your credit towards the styling services you purchased within 6 months of the purchase date.
Group Experiences & Photo Shoots
Group Experiences & Photo Shoots at the studio are something we start planning for weeks in advance. We prepare special gifts, allocate staff, reserve the space, and make purchases. Therefore, we require over 7 days notice of the need to reschedule or cancel.
If you are considering postponing, we highly recommend finding someone to fill your space so that fees are limited.
If you contact us to reschedule or cancel with less than 7 days notice, you forfeit your deposit.
If you contact us to reschedule or cancel within 48 business hours of the event, you forfeit the entire fee.
In the event of an emergency, we will connect after the scheduled event to consider your case.
Ticketed Events
If something comes up and you can’t make it to a ticketed event you paid for, please give your ticket to a friend. They will be so grateful! We don't offer refunds at this time.
CONSIGNMENT & DONATION
We will advise on the best places to consign and/or donate your discards when we meet in person. On occasion, we will consign something on a client's behalf at the studio if it makes sense for all parties involved.

Some clients elect to give their friends first dibs, donate to a charitable organization they are passionate about, try their luck with Thred Up, or consign at their neighborhood consignment store.
The most important thing is to free up space, both physically and mentally, for functional items you love!
COMMERCE
Payment
Payment is due upon booking a styling service. We use scheduling software called Acuity which connects to PayPal for secure transactions. If your appointment(s), project, or event requires a custom invoice or an installment plan, you will receive a PayPal invoice in your inbox with terms of payment.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for Styling Services or Ticketed Events at this time. However, paid for services and tickets may be transferable. Please contact us to discuss the details.

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates for Styling Services come with an expiration date. Gift Certificates can be transferred to another person. Please contact us to discuss the details.
Affiliate Links
Some of the links for selected products or posts may be automatically affiliated. Any affiliate commissions earned through links go to pay for the tools we are using that are free of charge to clients. This allows SCSC to be supported while spending the time necessary to find and create these recommendations. We do not recommend things for the commissions, instead, occasionally we may earn something if all the cookies and stars align, which will go towards our overhead.
STUDIO ACCESS
The Studio is a private space. Events are by invitation only. The studio is located in a historic building that is not wheelchair accessible 24 hours a day due to several flights of stairs and limited freight elevator access. We can make arrangements, but please let us know in advance if you can. If you are accompanied by a service animal, please give us a heads up before attending an event. Advanced notice will allow us to remove rugs on loan and let clients who may have allergies know there will be an animal joining us.
